The Age of Humanity has come and gone. A new age has dawned, and all the True Races are viable candidates for power. Every several hundred years, a new True Race manages to take power over Mirheim, and shape it to their desires. The first age recorded was the Age of Dragons, but that was further back in history than any can discover. The Age of Fiends saw great advances in territories and accumulation of power. The Age of Giants saw the construction of great cities and projects, bridges that defy understanding and towers that reach the heavens. The Age of Plants saw the return of nature long destroyed by pollution and warfare. The Age of Humanity was the last age, and it saw segregation and fear, warfare and disease. But it has ended, and Humans begin to dwindle.
The Fey, alone in their lack of an Age, have begun their imperceivable machinations, twisting fates to their will. The great city of Avalon, hidden by Faerie magic, is abuzz with schemes and plots, different factions plying for their selected race, based on unknowable reasoning. Which age is beginning? And what will it mean for Mirheim?
